Meet Our Staff

John Dotson

Pastor/Elder

Welcome to the Norwood Christian Church website! I am Pastor John Dotson. I’ve been the Pastor here at NCC since January 2007. My wife Pam and I have two sons, two daughter-in-laws and nine grandchildren spread around the United States. Having been called into the ministry in my 30’s, I attended Bible College and received my degree in Ministry.

Prior to coming to Norwood, we lived in Idaho, where I ministered to the congregation of Victory Christian Church for eighteen years. Before this, we lived in Bend, Oregon where I served Bend First Christian Church as a Deacon, Elder, Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, and President of the Church Board for several years, while at the same time running my small business. It has been my privilege and such a blessing to dedicate my life to the service of Jesus Christ, by serving His people. It is my hope and prayer that all will come to the saving knowledge of Jesus and become part of His family here on earth and someday in heaven. If you live in our area I invite you to come join with us as we serve and worship our Lord together. God bless!

Davis Watson

Elder

My wife, Mary, and I are the last remaining charter members of Norwood Christian Church. When we decided to get married nearly 42 years ago she wanted us to attend church and I said, “Fine; but, I get to pick the church.” I chose Norwood Christian Church. At that time the church met at the Norwood Christian Youth Ranch on Brasier Hill west of Norwood. The founders of the youth ranch, Don and Virginia Woodstock, moved to Norwood in the early 1970’s started building the ranch. Not having a Christian Church in the area they started meeting as a church in their trailer behind the Back Country Inn. Over the years we have ministered to the entire community and beyond. We seek only Jesus and His grace as is told in the Bible. We try to be more like Jesus in our daily walk.

Pam Dotson

Elementary Bible Study (age 2-5th)

IHello! My name is Pam Dotson and I teach the Elementary Bible Class. God has gifted me with a heart for children and a desire to see them come to know Jesus. Throughout my life, God has placed me with children in Christian and secular settings. I’ve worked in public schools as a para-professional and as a substitute teacher, in church ministries as a teacher (nursery through high school), VBS director, camp counselor and mission trip leader. This is my 24th year of serving children in the Church.

Traci Baize

Middle and High School Youth Group (6th-12th)

Hello all, I am Traci Baize, the Youth Coordinator at Norwood Christian Church. I am a wife and a momma, and blessed to be both. I have a fondness for cooking, singing, theater, fashion, and entertaining. I have a passion for our youth, and inspiring them to seek God, and his will.  I provide them a comfortable, inclusive, and welcoming place to explore all that God wants for each of their lives…AND FOOD! I strive to encourage our youth to live boldly and not hide the faith they have, while growing the seeds that will hopefully bloom into a life long love of God, and service to others. We have a lot of fun, and try to tackle tough issues that are facing our youth today. Encouraging quality time together forms relationships and friendships that power our youth when they are in school, in sports, and in life.
I pray to live up to the verse in 1Timothy 4:12-
“Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.”
